Nicosia will oversee fulfillment, production, delivery, installation, and service
NEW YORK, October 5, 2026 — Empire Safe & Vault announced that Joseph Nicosia has been named chief operating officer, effective August 28, 2026. Nicosia will oversee order fulfillment, build-to-spec production, delivery, installation, and service across the company’s Manhattan showroom and Bronx warehouse. The appointment is part of the same leadership transition in which Juan Morales was named chief executive officer.
Nicosia joined Empire in March 2025 as a security consultant, starting in a customer-facing role to learn the products and the industry. He later became service manager while continuing to support sales and operations, then was promoted to vice president of operations
His experience spans 18 years in operations and team leadership. At 19, he helped run his father’s flooring company while earning his bachelor’s degree. At 21, he began a 16-year career in public
service, where he rose to team leader on high-stakes field operations. During that period, he also founded and ran a private security company.
